Players each have a ball and perform a sequence of touches in a confined area: toe taps, sole rolls, inside-outside cuts, and pull-backs. Develops close control and coordination while raising heart rate.
Setup
Mark out a 15x15 yard square with cones. Every player has a ball. Players spread out inside the grid with enough room to work without colliding.
Coaching Points
- +Head up as much as possible — glance at the ball, not stare
- +Use both feet equally, not just the dominant foot
- +Soft touches — the ball should stay within playing distance
- +Increase speed gradually as technique improves
- +Stay light on your feet, knees slightly bent
Progressions
- 1.Call out specific moves on the whistle (e.g., "Cruyff turn!")
- 2.Add passive defenders who walk around the grid
- 3.Players must react to coach signals — stop, change direction, speed up
